The Shortlist

The Awards have been entered, the Panel have met and the votes have been cast.

The quality of applications far exceeded expectations, whilst we understand that some may be disappointed to not be shortlisted, the high calibre of those who entered made the panels decisions very difficult as they shortlisted each category to our Finalists.

The Awards will take place on the 9th February 2018 at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester Hotel, the Panel will meet a few weeks prior to the evening to vote on the Winners from each Shortlisted category.

Congratulations to all those who have entered the awards and we wish all those on the Shortlist the best of luck at the Awards Evening.

Are the Awards Fair?

Fairness and transparency in a Business Awards are extremely important to ourselves. We have therefore assembled a panel of leading Business Peers to provide a mix of varying backgrounds of Business and the areas of Greater Manchester.

The Panel consists of 8 independent Members, ensuring that the panel is an impartial and fair process that is judged on the merits of each individual application.

The Panel have only considered companies for the Shortlist if they hold a genuine chance of winning the Award when the winner is voted prior to the Business Awards Evening on the 9th February 2018

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are there only 2 shortlisted in some categories and more in others?

During the shortlisting process, the panel considered all applicants and only shortlisted those companies in categories who would genuinely hold a chance of winning the eventual award at the Awards Evening.

Do you know who will win?

The Panel has only adjudged the Shortlist using a Scoring Method to determine those companies most deserving to be in the Finalists, the eventual Winners will be decided at the final Panel meeting in January 2018. The Panel will review the Applications again, followed by the promotional video we will create with the Award Entrants, before entering a straight vote for the eventual winners

Was everyone who entered shortlisted?

No a very large number of entrants were sadly not shortlisted, this is no detriment to their organisation as some incredibly successful organisations and individuals were not taken through to the final shortlist. It is worth noting that to be shortlisted is a fantastic achievement and already shows the company has shown a large degree of excellence in this field.

Can we get Feedback if  we were not successful?

Yes if you email the team at we would be more than happy to provide feedback.

Can we come to the dinner if we are not shortlisted?

Yes the Shortlisted companies will be given first refusal on spaces at the Dinner with the tickets opening for General Sale on the 1st December 2017.
